Green Trails Inn is the place to stay when you visit Vermont. They have such a nice place, the staff is super helpful and caring. The Pond Village Pub has amazing and tasty food, and breakfast is great as well. We appreciate Andrew and Josh very much, they are great hosts. We enjoyed our scenic fall getaway so much! The Inn was beautiful, especially with the fall decorations. Our room/bathroom were pretty and comfortable. Enjoyed dinner our first night and Josh made a great breakfast each morning. Everything about the Inn and hosts was perfect and we would definitely come back again! It's in a really cool, quiet location, across from a floating bridge. We really enjoyed relaxing walks across that little river. The breakfast was delicious (scones right out of the oven!) This was our first time staying at a traditional B&B, and it was such a great experience. Josh took wonderful care of us and was incredibly warm and hospitable, making us feel right at home.

Green Trails Inn is in a beautiful location, just a short walk from the lake and nearby trails. Our room was clean, quiet, and had all the essential amenities. There is onsite parking and a cozy bar/pub right at the Inn. The homemade, made-to-order breakfast was wonderful and added such a special touch to our stay.

We arrived later at night and only wished we had gotten there earlier so we could enjoy more of the lake, trails, and the overall charm of the Inn. We’re so glad we stayed here and would happily return for another Vermont getaway.

Our four night stay at the Green Trails Inn was delightful.  We were greeted by one of the innkeepers, Josh, as soon as we arrived.  Check-in was quick and smooth.    Our room was on the third floor which is reached by stairs.  Josh kindly offered to assist us with our luggage.

Our time at the Green Trails Inn was nothing short of excellent. Josh and Andrew were wonderfully accommodating, and the overall experience was fantastic. As someone who is very particular, I was impressed by how thoroughly this inn delivered on comfort and relaxation. We spent the night at this magical little spot and are already planning how to come back. It’s hard to pinpoint one thing as being the best, really it’s the totality of the experience. They’ve thought through all the comforts and it’s spotless.
Make sure to have dinner and pinning the pub, coffee and breakfast followed by a chilly swim in the pond.

Autumn splendor in small town Vermont
What a lovely experience here in the little village of Brookfield. Josh and Andy have been a great job renovating an old innnow offers very well proportioned rooms, a great bathroom, and most importantly good bed for a good night's sleep. We ended up eating in the attached pond village pub which I will review separately. Given that the meal was so exceptional and Josh is cooking us breakfast, I'm submitting this review while I wait for my omelette, scone, and yogurt shipping my high quality coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Charm and Comfort
We stayed 3 nights in the Jesse Fiske King Suite and it was perfect! The bed was super comfortable, the decor was quaint, and the amenities were modern. We had a wonderful experience at this B&B. The owners made us feel welcomed and their hospitality was warm and friendly. There were even warm homemade chocolate chip cookies in the lobby upon arrival! The Inn is across from a swimming pond and a floating bridge and was a wonderful picnic spot. Breakfast was homemade and delicious- very Vermont- cheese, maple syrup, yogurt, and local fruit. The pub fare was also excellent and the wait staff was great. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to live music with local residents. The rooms are very clean and tidy. We stayed in the adorable “Butter’s Nook” and it was comfortable and cozy. An Above & Beyond Stay
I found the Green Trails Inn after all the great reviews on Trip Advisor. We booked just one night after spending a week in New Hampshire, before heading back home. Our stay was fabulous!! The owners and staff were professional and friendly, our check-in was seamless, and our room was beyond spotless. We had dinner at the pub which was outstanding. A Perfect Weekend Escape with Exceptional Hospitality
I rarely write reviews; however, I feel compelled to write a glowing review for the Green Trails Inn in Brookfield. We stayed for a weekend at the end of May. My only regret was that it was only for 2 nights. As an expat Englishman, I felt transported back to an upmarket English country inn that would feel right at home in Somerset or Hertfordshire. If you stay, take the time to explore the Inn as the owners have incorporated the history of the inn and the surrounding area in such thoughtful and tasteful ways that it’s not overbearing but ever present. The bar and restaurant area was again tasteful, traditional, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was made to order and was delicious and plentiful to set you up for the days exploring ahead. Their menu catered to all, and we ate evening meals there and did not go wanting; actually, we needed to walk off a well-cooked and delicious meal. The bedroom was so comfy and tastefully decorated and was full of high-end finishes as well as well-stocked and high-end gels and lotions. The hosts, Joshua and Andrew, were so accommodating and full of local knowledge and great ideas of places to visit. We also bumped into a few locals, and they were all pleasant and rather charming. Beautiful old Inn with modern features.
Green Trails Inn is a beautiful old inn that has been tastefully redone with up to date features. Co-owner Josh is very friendly and inviting making the stay very comfortable and pleasant. He made freshly baked scones and omelets for breakfast which was a treat after so many continental breakfasts at other hotels throughout New England. He is also a great bartender. Our new “Go-To” in Vermont
Greene Trails Inn is a delightful experience! The guestrooms are exceptionally well appointed, even the ones that share a hall bath. (Some in our party used the shared bath while others had a more traditional suite- each was beautiful, exceptionally clean, and welcoming. The recent makeover did an exceptional job of maintaining the traditional Vermont character while restoring the walls and other items to an exquisite finish. The inn keepers clearly love hospitality , consistently go above and beyond to guarantee their guests discover delights at every turn. The food is foodie-approved and they solve special requests with enthusiasm and creativity. This is our new “go-to” stay in Vermont!
